DAY 27 - Fruit flies and more work

I got up early today for a Skype date that didn't end up happening so I had a lot of time to sit around in the kitchen with my tea to contemplate and illustrate this very fitting quote I remembered: (Groucho Marx, I believe?)

(It's fitting because we've been here for nearly four weeks already (say WHAAAT???) and also due to our recent laziness in washing up as well as leaving fruit lying around outside, fruit flies have become quite the permanent fixture in our kitchen)

Because of our slackness yesterday and already having plans for tomorrow we had to catch up with a lot of hours today, ranging from grass-cutting to basket-weaving with Kali, which took up most of our day. In the evening we had the pleasure of trying jackfruit for the first time (I really liked it but it did take multiple washings with a variety of bathroom products to get the residue off my hands) and ended the day by watching a wonderfully British Derren Brown episode. (Turns out he's gay, by the way, ladies. Disappointingly)
